Event Brief

Microsoft recognises that the sponsor’s investment is a decision based on different business drivers for each organisation. The primary goals we delivered were:

  • Outstanding exposure to a highly targeted audience of existing and potential customers and/or partners in the future.
  • Opportunity to educate the audience on their products, services and solutions via captured face-to-face interaction.
  • Creation of industry synergy and third-party support for the Microsoft Platform, as well as sponsors hardware, software, tools and solutions

The Thinking

Microsoft Partner Conference was the perfect venue to showcase strengths, sell solutions and build invaluable relationships with over 650 Microsoft partners. During the event there were numerous opportunities to network and communicate with conference sponsors and the delegates, not to mention key Microsoft executives and team members.

The Event

Microsoft Partner Conference 2004 is a business event tailored to provide Microsoft partners with insights into business trends and Microsoft strategies giving partners the information they require to continue building momentum and business success. Throughout the sessions and social events there was also be a theme of recognition and awareness of Partner activities as they contribute to the Australian marketplace. The exhibition was held in the Pavilion at the Hyatt Regency Coolum. There were 20 exhibitors, both Microsoft Partners and Microsoft Internal business groups, showcasing their products and services. One of the major sponsors provided a wireless lounge for all delegates to have on-line access. Delegates that didn’t have wireless capabilities were able to use the communications network, which had 20 workstations in the exhibition area.

The Outcome

The conference was a huge success for all of the sponsors and exhibitors. The Forum Group received positive feedback about the traffic flow throughout the exhibition as well as hosting meals and social functions within the exhibition. As this was a contributing factor to the success.
On a scale of 1 – 5, all sponsors and exhibitors gave a score of 4 or higher in terms of the value they received at the event. Most sponsors and exhibitors have expressed interest in participating in 2005.
